Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

I must say my family and I are very impressed with this restaurant. I'd give it 6 stars for a little hole in the wall. We had... empanadas....excellent. chicken parmagiana...exceptionally tasty calamari...yummy good. pizza...fabulous. calzone...original and also yummy. For dessert we had zepoli's. Oh was that incredible. They added chocolate sauce and when we were done...we ordered seconds! Lisa, the waitress is fabulous, very friendly. She told us they make everything there. Then, the chef Raoul came out and mixed it up with everyone. Such a nice man. He's from Spain and has been cooking all of his life. Lastly I had some leftovers for lunch and it was delicious! Well be regulars there.. to heck with my diet. I'm in need of a zepoli fix.

1st Star - Staff: You will not find a more attentive, friendly, welcoming staff than at Pizza Chef. They know everyone that comes into their restaurant. They are not over-powering or invasive, but again - welcoming and friendly. They're also family owned and that's something you don't see much of anymore. 2nd Star - Sangria: Their sangria is amazing. It is fruity, delicious, and flavorful. I come back time and time again for this delicious beverage. It is perfect for every dinner option. 3rd Star - Meatballs: Undeniably the best meatballs I've ever had from a restaurant. They're large, flavorful, moist and delicious. The marinara sauce they're served in is fantastic. Definitely a must try! 4th Star - Pizza: The pizza is cooked exceptionally. The crust is light and airy. They offer a ton of pies with different toppings. The toppings are always fresh and delicious. If you love olives, request the olive paste on your next pizza. You will not be disappointed. 5th Star - Location: Hidden in a small shopping plaza off of 441, you are able to always find close and accessible parking. We have always been able to find a table. We have also catered food from Pizza Chef and it has been exceptional every single time!

Our second visit. Absolutely love. Not sure which is better, the hospitality or the food. We tried the Argentinian pizza which was outrageous. Perfect crust, light and crispy and with the toppings suggested by the owner - meatball, mushroom and spinach. Omg. Can't wait for our next slice. We were even given an empanada to try and now we've decided to order a dozen for the big game this Sunday!

Pleasantly surprised! We we're invited by family friends and at first we were hesitant due to the location. But as they say "don't judge a book by its cover". By far some of the greatest tasting empanadas I've had in South Florida. Mind you, my family is Cuban and Argentinian, so I consider myself well versed in a good tasting empanada. The Argentinian pizza was exquisite. We ordered a few to get a good variety and as they came out we devoured them, accordingly. Also, Lisa was amazing. We came in with a party of 8 and she didn't lose a beat. I highly recommend this place. No, I demand you to visit. :-)

Love this place! Coming from an Italian family it's not easy to find good Food on the streets so most of the time I don't waste my time and I get it at home, however this place had just what I needed! Great thin crispy pizza, amazing empanadas and awesome zeppolis!!!!.... Gotta check it out!

What a find. Tucked away in a quaint little shopping center, I'm glad I didn't miss this spot. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly. I felt very welcomed. The restaurant was immaculately clean, and smelled wonderful. The pizza was delicious and I'm still thinking about the antipasto. Highly recommend adding this place to your destination restaurant list. Enjoy. Say hi to Lisa and George.

This is a great little pizza place. The pizza is a terrific thin crust, and comparable to the pizza up north. I also frequently get the sausage parm. They toast the bread, so its nice and crunchy and always tasty.

Such a nice find in a myriad of ways. First and foremost, your are greeted by the nicest, friendliest people you could ever meet! Lisa, is usually the first your eyes set on who is smiling no matter what chaos might be happening at the moment. She appears to be the "hub" to me as in managing what everyone is doing to making sure where customers are seated to where everything is going, ringing up orders, etc. ALL this with a cheerful smile! This place is small; however, clean and tidy, well-lit and the smells. ..OH, but the SMELLS in THAT kitchen! (Would that, could that be in my own on a daily basis...if only)!!! George is the pizza King. Watching him make pizzas and their specialty, ARGENTINEAN pizzas can make one feel overwhelmed and dizzy, but George does it with such pride and finesse. AND it shows! The food is prepared perfectly, has flavor, (WHAT's in that sauce?) and just tastes delicious! You can tell a lot of love and toil goes into this restaurant. I first discovered this restaurant by a review from another yelper which has now led me to one, if NOT the best Italian places in the Sandalfoot area. While there may be other pizza establishments in my area that are literally closer to me, this one is worth the treck to me for an amazing (not to mention, reasonable) meal! Recommend you call ahead to see how busy if you have 3 or more in your party, especially larger group to eat dinner IN so there won't be much of a wait and can be seated properly by the lovely Lisa. Let's also not forget the sweet young lady, Jasmine as well. Enjoy...I'm SURE you WILL! But PLEASE! TAKE my word on it! It's a "nice find"!

Wow I'm glad we tried this place. Owner makes everything fresh. Empenada dough is from Argentina and is light and flakey. Best empenadas is South Florida

Local pizza joint in a bad strip mall. Amazingly nice staff, I just found the pizza to be just ok. I went with Italians and they didn't seem super impressed (yes, I know Pizza is really American). Anyway, maybe I need to try again as the reviews seem to say otherwise. We'll see.

Luv going to the restaurant. Our weekly spot. The empanadas, meatball and eggplant sliders are scrumptious. Luv the Argentinian pizzas and especially the real friendly atmosphere with our favorite waitress Lisa and best cook George.

Great Pizza! Went at lunch time got 2 slices of pepperoni and a drink plus a sausage parm sub for $15. Food was great and far above thick and thin across the street. Sausage was sweet with a little heat that builds towards the end. I would definitely try them again! Thanks!

Tiny place, maybe with tables. I've only had the pizza here, but can only assume the other entrees and desserts are just as wonderful. Family run biz, very friendly, would recommend to anyone.

Excellent NY style pizza. Crust and sauce are just like you get in a neighborhood pizzeria in Brooklyn or Manhattan. You can't beat the lunch deal they have - two large sized slices and a can of soda for $5. The owners are really cool people too.

  • Lauren D.

Love the pizza but the real reason you must go try this place.....the empanadas -they are out if this world. Like no other you've ever had, I promise!

  • Kris S.

My husband kept raving about this place and i finally agreed to try it, it was amaaaaaazing! first of all the owner makes homemade empanadas daily that is to die for! you must try them when you are in there! My husband orders pizza on a regular basis but when we ate in, we had the fettucine alfredo...holy zingers! it is made from scratch and the most delicous thing ever! They opened up a few months ago and i really hope they are around for a while as the food is really good. The owners are super nice as well which makes eating there even better!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
